Knox County Horse Park "Cowboy Challenge" 2008
The Knox County Horse Park, Inc. manages a 50 acre site on Thayer Rd. in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Our goals are to provide a functional park with facilities for the community equine lovers, promote equine ownership, and provide support to equine owners. We are a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to equine activities and ownership. The Park currently has a 120'x200' arena, a camping area with fire pit and provided firewood, and several trails and open areas for riding. Membership is $10.00 per year and provides unlimited use of the Park. Members share an interest in horses and preserving green space for equestrian activities. We do not have a water supply or electricity, so please bring your own as needed. No dogs, please. For more information: call Claude Robertson (VP) at 740-627-0096.
Our shows and events are open to the public, and we welcome spectators. Unless specified on the show bills or event ads, there is no charge to spectators or for parking. We'd love to have you come watch an event in this beautiful park.
Most of the maintenance and facility development at the park are done by our members on a volunteer basis, and the shows help raise funds for materials and other resources. Food and Drink our available for donation at the shows.
Meetings are the first Saturday of each month. (see Calendar of events for location). Potluck dinner at 6:30 PM, meeting at 7:00 PM.
Shop at Country Supply and make money for the park. Enter our Care Code- KCHPinc -at checkout and a portion of the purchase will be sent to our organization.
